The neo-rich are buying pricy, global labeled, cutting-edge performance and speed-oriented cars by spending millions from their kitty. They want to make a mark in whatever they do. Since ages, people treated cars as their status symbols. Cars can go at high speed but they need more space to move on the roads. Compared against a two-wheeler, car needs lot of space to move around, to take turn, and to get parked.
Switching to the current scenario, today’s world is full of traffic jams. Without encountering a traffic jam, it is not possible to reach a destination. Yes! There are those Google maps, which alert you about the traffic jammed roads; even they suggest alternative routes also. But, we are forgetting one important point. How many alternate routes are there now? And how many we need to escape from future traffic jams? If the population is increasing day-by-day and people are building houses at every nook and corner, then the point of creating additional routes to skip the traffic jams become impossible in future. Google cannot create alternate routes on its own. Its software simply shows the existing routes. Just imagine a situation, when Google maps show all routes in RED indicating traffic jams; then, where will be the alternate route?
Irrespective of whatever costly car you buy, it has to be driven on the road that the normal public uses. As per today’s standards, if you have to travel less than 10 kms and have at least 45 minutes to reach your destination, then you can use your Formula 1 car! Otherwise, your two-wheeler is the best option to move around fast and skip traffic jams. In other words, opt for car travel only when you have leisure time; otherwise, don’t go for it.
In future (max 10 years), this blog predicts that the car manufacturers have to come up with some uber-chic exceptional features to make car travel be considered as a ‘swift transportation mode’ by the general public. Otherwise, all these costly and shiny cars end in museums!
