Is this not Paradox?

Obedience to elders and people in higher hierarchy are expected across all the societies. However, in certain situations and cultures, they give lot of importance to obedience and every activity involves this kowtowing. Because of this, to take any decision, either small or big, younger generations are expected to take elders into confidence. After listening to youngsters opinion, elders fine-comb the matter, go hindmost and check whether such kind of decisions were taken any time in their history, and finally, let the youngsters know their judgment. Most likely, the elders judgment is final and there is no higher authority to revoke it. While the elder generations struggle to protect what has been carried out so far, the younger generations try to wriggle out of the shackles with what the elders has bonded them in the name of the tradition or obedience.

Time goes and the current younger generation takes the mandate from the older generation to carry out the tradition; but, these people also finally end up being restrictive in their decisions and activities toward the next generation. This process goes on…

In summary, what we see here is that time, age, and responsibilities change people and their respective mindsets. As long as, you are on the opposite side of the fence, you try to do and say whatever you want.  But, when the responsibility is given and you are made accountable, you fall in line and exactly try to do what you had resisted so far! SO, is this not parad…?

Bending & Blending with Parents Wishes

Who you want to be in future? What is your area of interest? Most of the people might have faced these questions when they were kids. Actually, kids don’t know what to answer this question. However, parents/adults won’t just leave them like that until they get a satisfying answer from their kids. SO, they provide a few answers in objective format; for example, doctor, engineer, etc. After that, they make it a point to continuously brainwash the kid about his future goal. Kids are kids; can’t think or not mature enough at that age. So, they fall in line easily.

Nevertheless, when this kid starts growing and he starts absorbing knowledge from his surroundings, his ideas may change. Now, he does not want to become what he has been dreaming along with his parents so far; because, now he starts to think independently. His goals are different and he wants to achieve them at any cost; with passion, he starts working toward his goal. But, the parents/adults can’t digest this new behavioral change and they start to do emotional blackmail. Although the kid has become adult at this moment, however, emotionally, he is not that strong. SO, he bends to his parents’ wishes and force himself to buy their views. Psychologically, this creates lot of confusion in him.

All these internal and external forces change his behavior. His frustration tries to find new ways to come out of his mind. At this fragile moment, the society starts looking at him from success point of view. Unable to get the success in whatever he is doing/ pursuing and not knowing how to answer his inner self, he becomes a human vestige; he is there but at the same time, he is not there.

Most of the youth across globe are suffering with this kind of trauma. Everyone knows the answer but no one has the guts to go against the wishes of his parents/adults and put his foot down and tell them that this is what he wants to become and he is entirely responsible for the consequences of his own decision.

May God bless the youth of this planet!

Opportunities, Entrepreneurs, Business, & Style

Entrepreneurs hunt for opportunities; others work for entrepreneurs. It is a simple model of business that you can find anywhere.

Opportunities! Who don’t want them? They give you a chance to enhance and commercialize your skill set, right! But, where can we find opportunities on this planet? Everywhere! From a stylist who creates new fashionably friendly designs for top models to wear in a tough season like hot summer to a global health care organization which manufactures ‘cool talk’ for new borns (who arrived today!) to protect their skin, everyone is looking for, identifying, and exploiting opportunities wherever they can; 24 X 7.
What about doing business in a stylish, sophisticated, and fun way? To setup a business as an entrepreneur, your style of handling your personnel and the city you setup that business matters most. But, don’t worry! All businesses don’t need such kind of rigorous hard work.

A simple idea: If you are a business genie, then you can start a ‘coffee room’ with ‘office-like cooling’ and seating arrangements for desperate lovers, who are always on the lookout for some decent place to sit and talk! Try it!

Turnaround Specialist - Sick Organization

Restructuring an organization, which is on the brink of failure, is a major task. There are experts out there, who are called ‘Turnaround Specialists’ have made their name and shot into limelight by turning around the ‘about to fail’ organizations and again setting them on the tracks of success.

Turning around a failing organization by doing a major revamp to change its fortunes requires lot of intelligence, diligence, and common sense on the part of the Turnaround Specialist.  First of all, the specialist has to understand the reasons for the failure of the organization. For this, he has to cull out the details from the existing employees through info sharing in a non-offensive manner and without undue haste. Even a small mistake on the part of the specialist makes the other stakeholders fire fresh salvos, which have the potential to rock the new efforts.  Again, if the proposal for turnaround is inadequate, then the stakeholders may suspect the whole process leading to creation of a perfect recipe for disaster.

‘Ego satisfying’ is one other big business that the specialist should be good at! Just like how graffiti artists fight for wall space, existing employees fight for own space (to satisfy their ego!) irrespective of whether their presence is required or not in a particular scenario. The specialist has to consider all these points; if he wants the organization turnaround to be a success with a huge production turnout.

Storytelling – How it Started?

Time is finite. When it comes to leading a quality life, enjoying precious moments in life, etc, time dictates our limitations.   Is there a way to increase the good life time span? So far, no one has succeeded in doing so. However, man has come up with strategies, which can be considered hitting a bull’s eye; he invented story-telling. A great strategy, which helps mankind to brush-up all those good moments that were enjoyed and experienced, could be recollected, retold and conveyed to the next generations. Not only that, you can build new relations through storytelling and can strengthen existing relations. Indirectly, it acts as a relation-builder among people.

History repeats itself in many ways and forms; enlightened people of this planet have already told us. Now, man does not want all those bad historical experiences to be repeated again! After doing some self-directed and research-driven introspection of what happened and how we can stop the bad moments from repeating themselves in any form and fuel happiness and trust among people, man wrangled out this story-telling concept from the unfathomable depths of his research and distributed it to the next generations.

Now, in this era where competition for consumer eyeballs is fierce and growth-focused marketing strategies are given high priority, marketers started using the proven old strategy of story-telling to market their products. As a result, storytelling has reached new benchmark, both technically and literature-wise. These days, where ‘mobility’ is the keyword for everything and anything and creating self-advancing opportunities are a new trend, storytelling helps out to present your innovative concepts with a blend of old and new stuff in an impressive way across all the channels including mobiles.
